Detroit Diesel Engines Work To Curb Emission Levels 25/03/2008

It has become evident that Detroit diesel engines are being developed so as to meet growing concerns regarding the level of emissions which diesel engines give out.

Detroit diesel engines appear to have taken EPA guidelines into mind, and made a number of developments regarding this. It has been reported that diminishing levels of allowable carbon emissions from diesel engines has created challenges for manufacturers, but Detroit diesel engines have tackled this issue with the design and implementation of a number of measures. These include the enhancement by Detroit diesel of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system. The system implemented in Detroit diesel engines works to re-circulate a small amount of exhaust gas into the intake manifold of the Detroit diesel engine so as to dilute the air and fuel mixture which is incoming. Detroit diesel engines employ a Exhaust Gas Recirculation cooler, which makes sure that temperatures are regulated within the Detroit diesel engine.
