Caterpillar Diesel Engine Donated 25/03/2008 For students wishing to learn about agriculture at Northern Burlington County Regional High School in the United States, last week Caterpillar provided them with the opportunity to embrace their learning with the donation of a Caterpillar diesel engine. The agricultural mechanics program at the school embraced the donation of a Caterpillar diesel engine, as the 2007 Model C-13 ACERT Caterpillar diesel engine would allow students at the school to learn on industry leading equipment. As Caterpillar Inc. is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment, and natural gas and diesel powered engines (in its manufacture of Caterpillar natural gas engines and Caterpillar diesel engines), it is of little surprise that the Caterpillar diesel engine donated to the school was of a high quality. The donated Caterpillar diesel engine featured six cylinders. In addition the caterpillar diesel engine is emissions-certified. This is in contrast to the diesel engines which the school already held in possession. Typically, it can be claimed that the Caterpillar diesel engine would predominantly be used in agricultural and construction machinery of a large size, including tractor trailers and generators. To take advantage of the benefits of the donated Caterpillar diesel engine, the school has started a new module of learning, Diesel Engines and Turf Machinery Repair. |
